We used some of the fallen wood on site to create a mini-ecosystem. Decaying wood is the perfect habitat for invertebrates and fungi.

Let the flowers grow! We cut and lift just once per year in certain grass areas to increase the diversity of flora on site.

We conducted ecological monitoring of the grassland areas at Richview in 2023 and found 35 different species, including a delightful 18 flowering species, 9 grasses, and 4 mosses.

We were delighted to spot this garden regular on site. They love a nest box so hopefully will take up residence next Spring!
